GENERAL INFORMATION A mechanical indicator is a unit mounted in the dash used to show the position of drives (units), tabs or flaps or jack plates. A 30 series cable connects the mechanical indicator to the actuator. The actuator is the piece that holds the cable in position on the drive or tab end. Units showing from 1-5 slots, or positions, are available in just about any combinations of drives, tabs, flaps, etc., and, can be made to read horizontally or vertically. Choose Standard for 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 slot configurations or Ultra-thin for 3 or 4 slot configurations designed for tight dash space. A mechanical indicator needs four things to work: 1. A mechanical indicator mounted on the dash 2. A 33 series cable to link the indicator and the actuator 3. Either a Livorsi® or Mercury actuator 4. Thru hull fittings for the cables (optional) Four things you will need to know when ordering your mechanical indicator: 1. How many slots or positions do you want to monitor?     (how many drives, tabs, etc.) 2. Is it a Livorsi®, Mercury actuator or a #6 drive?     (The actuator used will determine the layout of the card) 3. Where will the cables enter the indicator?     (Bottom is standard, but it can be top or horizontal (port or starboard) 4. What length of 33 series cable do you need?    (Measure the actual route the cable will take. Cables come in 2’ increments from 10’ to 36’)
