RESIST THE URGE!! When detailing your boat, resist the urge to use anything but Windex7 windowcleaner and a very soft cloth on the lense of your gauge. Use a rough paper towel and the wrong cleaner and your gauges will look like they’ve been through 100 bad car washes, so RESIST THE URGE!!

BEZEL -
A separate powdercoated billet aluminum ring that goes behind the gauge. Choose from the standard “flat” bezel, the “slimline” version of the flat bezel or the much more substantial “angled” bezel to fisheye or aim your gauges in a certain direction. To install, disconnect wires, remove bracket, place gauge in bezel, place gauge in dash, reconnect wires, replace bracket.

GAUGE DECK MOUNT -
A powdercoated “tube” shaped unit designed to be placed on the top of the dash to hold an additional gauge that will not fit in the dash. Use one or more. Choose for standard 2 1/16” or 3 3/8” gauge, or cutout size.

ELECTRIC GAUGE -
A gauge that uses a sender to transmit the electronic signal to the gauge.

A term used to describe all the components needed to install a gauge, including the gauge itself. This term is used with speedometers, GPS etc. A speedometer kit will include the gauge, pitot mount, hose and fittings.
