Livorsi Marine, Inc. drive temperature kit

New Drive Temperature Kit

Livorsi’s new drive temperature kit accurately measures the oil (gear lube) temperature of your drive. The majority of all drive failures begin with the drive generating excessive heat. This overheating can only be detected by measuring the gear oil temperature directly from the drive.

Drives are expensive, why not take proactive measures to protect them?

This kit keeps you alert of overheating that maybe caused by:

drive temperature gauge
  • Damage to propeller or bent shaft
  • Water pump failure
  • Condition of gear oil or loss of gear oil
  • Water ingestion
  • Outdrive seal failure
  • Gear and bearing condition

Drive temperature is displayed on an easy to read 2 1/16” gauge. The use of water resistant, dust proof Deutsch connecters simplifies wiring and installs easily to most outdrives.

Help maintain the performance and longevity of your drives, and protect them with the help of the new Livorsi drive temperature kit.

Livorsi's Raw Water Flow System

The Raw Water Flow System indicates your engine's water flow volume. This system warns you of a potential problem or danger that would otherwise not be indicated by a water pressure gauge alone, thus preventing cosmetic and structural damage to expensive exhaust headers, intercoolers and other cooling systems.

If you notice that your exhaust system is discoloring in any area, water flow should be reviewed to make sure that adequate water volume is going through the system.

What is Water Flow?

Water flow is a real indication of water surging through a cooling system such as: exhaust headers, sea strainers, impellers, Gen sets, intercoolers and any other marine or industrial applications.

Don't confuse water flow with water pressure. Though your water pressure gauge may be reading an acceptable pressure, you may still have an issue due to one of the following:

  • A plugged heat exchanger
  • Extensive debris build-up in the intercooler or sea strainer
  • A kinked hose
  • Worn impeller
  • Water pickups not collecting enough water for cooling system

These may be the culprits causing the good water pressure reading, when in actuality there is poor water flow. Low water flow results in; cosmetic and structural damage to expensive exhaust headers caused by burned impellers and/or the clogging and damage of intercoolers or strainers.

Kits starting at : $480.00

Pyrometer Gauges

A pyrometer is an exhaust temperature gauge that reads an immediate change in exhaust temp. It receives a signal from the probe (thermocouple) that is inserted in the exhaust manifold. This gauge detects over heating and is the easiest way to determine a lean or rich fuel mix.
